HSBC Bank Account: £220 switching offer

HSBC is offering £220 to customers who open a Bank Account and switch to it using the Current Account Switch Service. The account comes with no monthly fee, an optional overdraft facility, and access to HSBC's range of savings accounts and shopping, dining and travel discounts.

  • Open a Bank Account in the HSBC mobile banking app (applications made online, in branch or by phone do not qualify)
  • Complete a full switch using the Current Account Switch Service within 60 days, including 2 Direct Debits
  • Pay in £2,000
  • Spend £500 on your debit card
  • Available to new customers only — not existing HSBC UK or first direct customers, or anyone who has held an HSBC UK or first direct current account since 1 January 2023
  • Only applies to the Bank Account, not other current accounts, including the Basic Bank Account
  • Cashback is paid within 60 days of meeting all qualifying criteria
  • Open to UK residents only, and the offer may be withdrawn at any time

This suits people who are eligible to switch and are comfortable applying through the mobile app, moving their salary or regular payments, and using their debit card and Direct Debits as part of everyday banking.
